Lina Medina gave a shock to the medical history by giving birth at the age of five. The youngest mother was born in Peru in 1933. Lina was brought to the local hospital by her parents because of enlargement in the belly. They at first they thought it was due to tumor. After serious of medical checkup the doctors confirmed that she was seven months pregnant. After a month later she gave birth a baby boy. She named him Gerardo in remembrance of her doctor.
Lina is the first known case of precocious pregnancy. Studies made on her reveal that she had an advanced menarche development resulting in the first menstruation at the age of eight months, breast development at four and bone development at five.
Lina son was brought up by saying that lina was her sister but later he found that she was her mother at the age of 10. After 33 years from Gerardo birth lina was married and gave birth to her second baby in 1972. Gerardo died at the age of 40 due to bone marrow disease. Lina now lives with her husband in Chicago and now she is aged 74.
